If one of the parents evades alimony payments or their whereabouts are unknown, you can apply for temporary state assistance for the child. This assistance is granted by the social protection authorities at your place of residence (or location).

  • Steps to apply for assistance:

1. Prepare the necessary documents:

  • Application for all types of social assistance and compensation.
  • A copy of the child’s birth certificate.
  • A declaration of income and property status of the individuals applying for the assistance.
  • Documents confirming the grounds for the assistance:
  • A copy of the court decision on alimony enforcement.
  • A certificate from the enforcement service confirming non-payment of alimony for six months.
  • A certificate from the internal affairs authority stating that the whereabouts of one of the child’s parents are unknown.

2. Contact the social protection authority:

  • Submit the prepared documents to the local social protection department at your place of residence (or location).

3. Wait for a decision:

  • The social protection authority will review your application and make a decision on granting or denying assistance within 10 calendar days after receiving all the necessary documents.

Important Notes:

  • Temporary assistance is provided for children under 18 years old.
  • The amount of assistance is determined as the difference between 100% of the minimum subsistence level for the child's age group and the average monthly family income per person for the last six months, but no less than 50% of the minimum subsistence level for the child’s age group.
  • The assistance is granted every six months, starting from the month when all necessary documents are submitted.
