How employees are paid for their work under the simplified regulatory regime?

Share

In the simplified labour relations regime, remuneration is determined by an employment contract between the employee and the employer. The parties may independently agree on the remuneration system, labour standards and salary, subject to the following requirements:

  • Minimum wage: The amount of wages may not be lower than the minimum level established by law.
  • Terms of payment: Salary is paid within the terms specified in the employment contract, but at least twice a month at intervals not exceeding 16 calendar days.
  • Additional payments: An employment agreement may provide for allowances, surcharges, bonuses and other incentive, compensation and warranty payments.
  • Invalidity of terms and conditions: Terms and conditions of an employment agreement that worsen the employee's position compared to Ukrainian labour law may be declared invalid by a court.
