Which documents could confirm the fact of providing constant care for the elderly?

Share

The legislation does not provide for a clear list of documents confirming the fact of permanent care.

However, in practice, such documents may include:

1. Certificate of receipt of compensation or allowance for care

  • Issued by the social protection authorities after the relevant payment has been made.

2. Act of establishing the fact of caregiving

  • It is drawn up on the basis of an application from the person providing care.
  • The application is submitted to:
  • district, district administration in the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol;
  • the executive body of a village, town or city council.
  • The act is drawn up in any form.

3. Court decision on establishing the fact of permanent care

  • In the event of a dispute or the need for legal confirmation of the fact of care, a person may apply to a court to establish this fact.

Important:

The fact of permanent care may also be confirmed by documents certifying other circumstances, for example

  • medical reports on the need for constant care;
  • documents confirming joint residence (certificate of residence registration).
