What benefits and guarantees do the volunteers have?

1. Fundamental rights of volunteers:
Adequate conditions for volunteering, including:
Receiving complete and accurate information about the procedure and conditions of volunteering;
provision of special protective equipment, gear and equipment;
Crediting the time spent on volunteer activities to the internship (subject to compliance with the field of study and the consent of the educational institution);
Reimbursement of expenses related to volunteering.
2. Expenses that can be reimbursed to a volunteer
Business trip expenses (both in Ukraine and abroad).
Meal expenses if the volunteer activity lasts more than 4 hours per day.
Communication expenses (postal and telephone services) if the volunteer works outside the volunteer organisation.
Medical expenses, in particular:
medical examination costs;
vaccinations;
other medical and preventive measures directly related to the provision of volunteer assistance.
3. One-time financial assistance in case of death or disability of a volunteer
Volunteers and their families are provided with financial compensation in the event of
Death of a volunteer during hostilities or armed conflict.
Disability due to injury, contusion, trauma or mutilation.
Amount of compensation in case of death of a volunteer:
500 subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons (as of July 2022 - UAH 1.3 million).
The payment is distributed among the deceased's family, parents and dependents.
