What should I do if there are no vacant places in an educational institution and my child is refused in admission?

Share

Procedure in case of refusal to enroll in an educational institution due to lack of places:

  • ask the staff of the educational institution about the reason for the lack of places;
  • based on the available information, contact the head of the educational institution and receive a written refusal of admission;
  • file a complaint based on the refusal (in writing) with the education department of the relevant local council.

The education department should find out the reasons for the lack of places and may recommend applying to the educational institution again (for example, there are cases when the queue actually needs to be updated, because some children have already graduated and there are free places for enrollment) or provide a list of recommended places for study.
