Vocational Education in Italy: Opportunities for Ukrainians

Share

The peculiarity of vocational education in Italy is that it is integrated into the school system. In particular, after completing primary school (6-10 years) and lower secondary school (11–13 years), students move on to upper secondary school (14–19 years) where they choose a specific institution to study:

  • a lyceum (abstract and theoretical subjects);
  • an art school; or
  • a technical college (vocational education).

Therefore, if you want to enter a secondary school of the second level, you must provide a certificate of completion of the first level of secondary school (if you studied at an Italian school).

Please contact the technical college directly for information on the possibility of accepting a Ukrainian school certificate as a first-level secondary school diploma.

You can obtain a first-level secondary school diploma by attending adult evening schools – CPIA.

To enrol, you must provide a valid residence permit.

You can find your local CPIA and technical colleges here.
