A forensic medical examination is mandatory in the following cases:

1. Signs of violent death or suspicion of it:

  • Exposure to low or high atmospheric pressure.
  • Poisoning.

2. Death outside the place of residence:

  • If the death occurred in any place other than the registered place of residence.

3. Unknown identity of the deceased:

  • If the deceased has not been identified.

4. Death of persons under the age of 60:

  • If a person died at home but was not under medical care.
