1. A missing person report can be filed by:

  • Relatives and friends of the disappeared person.
  • Friends, acquaintances and other persons who are aware of the fact of the disappearance.
  • Representatives of military formations.
  • State and local authorities.
  • Public associations.
  • Commissioner for Persons Missing in Special Circumstances.

2. The application can be submitted:

  • To the territorial unit of the National Police of Ukraine in person, by mail, by phone 102 or on the hotline 0894201867.

3. The application should include:

  • The date and place of the disappearance.
  • Personal data of the missing person (name, date of birth).
  • Signs (tattoos, scars, etc.).
  • The presence of numbered items (mobile phone, passport, etc.) at the time of the disappearance.
  • Data of other persons who may be aware of the circumstances of the disappearance.
  • Other circumstances that may facilitate the search.

After submitting the application, the pre-trial investigation body initiates criminal proceedings and takes measures to search for the missing person.
