The Republic of Lithuania provides free emergency medical care to all Ukrainians staying in the country.

You can call a medical emergency by calling 112.

When registering at the Migration Centre, you will receive a registration card with your personal electronic health record (ESI) code.

The code can be used to identify you for healthcare services and prescription drugs.

You can also use the code to get free medicines at pharmacies.

When you visit healthcare facilities or pharmacies, you should provide the staff with your assigned electronic health record (ESI) code.

In the Republic of Lithuania, Ukrainians who have not yet obtained a temporary residence permit are provided with the following medical services:

The procedure for seeing a doctor differs depending on the fact of employment.

If you are employed (i.e. you are insured), you should choose a personal health care institution and select a family doctor to whom you should contact for all health care matters.

You can apply in case of pre-registration.

After registration, you have to visit a doctor at a certain time, who prescribes treatment and decides whether a specialist consultation is required.

Documents:

o  the code of the electronic certified statement obtained during registration at the Foreigners' Registration Centre (ESI code); and

o  temporary residence permit.

If you need to consult a specialised doctor, your family doctor issues a referral and, after registration, you visit the doctor at a specified time.

You should bring the same documents that you provided to your family doctor.

If you are unemployed, the procedure for visiting a doctor is similar, but at the first stage you have the opportunity to register for a visit to any family doctor of your choice.
