From 1 January 2026, with the adoption of the State Budget for 2026, Ukraine increased key social payments. These changes affect the subsistence minimum, minimum wage, pensions, and other social benefits.
The subsistence minimum is the amount of money a person needs for basic living costs. From the start of 2026, it is:
The minimum wage is now 8,647 UAH per month (previously 8,000 UAH) or 52 UAH per hour.
The increases in the subsistence minimum and minimum wage automatically change pensions and some allowances.
Important: If a pensioner is still working, these increases will only apply after finishing employment.
No. All pension recalculations from 1 January 2026 are carried out automatically, without the need to contact the Pension Fund authorities.
