Of particular interest during the workshop were childcare opportunities for working mothers - municipal nannies and benefits for private kindergartens.
DRC lawyers in Lviv provide individual and group consultations for women on their labor rights, social guarantees and benefits. The consultations are aimed at both employed women and those who are looking for work.
As most of the participants of the consultations and workshops admit, the main reason for their difficulties in finding a job is the inability to find somewhere to place their children while they work. Therefore, women are particularly interested in access to social services, such as municipal nannies or tax rebates for private kindergartens.
In addition to the topic of labor and social rights, the DRC cooperates with women's rights groups and organizations to prevent gender-based violence. The goal is to achieve a situation where conflict-affected and vulnerable populations in Ukraine have the opportunity to live a secure and dignified life, and where women's rights are not violated.
The project “Civil Society for Resilience in Ukraine” is implemented by a Consortium led by the Danish Red Cross in partnership with the Danish Refugee Council and Dignity and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
